DoYouHearTheMusic.com – Top Tracks of 2013 (well a good amount of them)
2 DecThanksgiving gave me a minute to sit back and have a little fun putting together a Top Tracks of 2013 playlist. This clearly doesn’t include all of the great music that has filtered our ears this year but it is a collection of music that has been on rotation for me in 2013. I tried not to duplicate artists (I could have gone on for days with whole albums from the likes of Vampire Weekend, Cayucas, White Denim, Bastille, etc.) so I hope you like this playlist which should keep you going for hours and perfect for some holiday road trips.
Cheers!

Music Monday: Middle Brother
25 AprAnother band I am really into lately has been Middle Brother. Haven’t heard of them? You need to get yourself familiar pronto. A quasi super group comprised of John J. McCauley III of Deer Tick, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes, and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit these fellas are crazy good songwriters and put together a really great disc after first performing together at SXSW in 2010. Releasing their self titled debut album last month, be on the lookout for the trio when you see any of their bands on festival billings.
Bonnaroo Artist Additions
7 AprToday Bonnaroo announced artist additions and the comedy line-up for this summer. I know some people were hoping for bigger names but really, you couldn’t expect more headlining acts to be announced. Could it have been better, sure but either way I for one am stoked as two of my favorite artists we added, G. Love and Black Joe Lewis. Add in Galactic, Black Uhuru and Daniel Lanois’ Black Dub and Superfly definitely added some great talent. DJ line-up should be coming soon too.
