If you haven’t gotten your tickets, do so at www.lifeisbeautiful.com and if you have, awesome and I can’t wait to see you!

It’s exciting to know that a handful of artists are making their first play in Las Vegas at Life is Beautiful and here’s another one, Tycho.  I’ve spoken to several people who are all amped up about finally get a chance to see Tycho live let alone in their hometown.  Currently touring as a four-piece, the brainchild of Scott Hansen has never sounded so good!  I’ve had the lucky opportunity to see Tycho a couple times this year and cannot wait for them descend upon the neon desert for what is sure to be an amazing performance.  Get ready for an instrumental electronic experience and make sure you carve out time to see them perform on Saturday, October 25.

And if you want an excellent read, check out THIS feature from PandoDaily.com titled, “How to make it in the new music industry: The long slow ascent of electronic star Tycho.”

Let me lay it down like this.  If you are coming to Life is Beautiful, this is one of your can’t miss performances of the festival, St. Paul & The Broken Bones.  These guys have absolutely blown up in less than two years and 2015 is primed to be massive for this Birmingham, Alabama outfit.  Not only is their album, Half The City, something you should have on repeat but St. Paul & The Broken Bones have delivered one of the best shows I’ve seen in 2014.   They ooze soul and when you hear Paul Janeway’s voice, you may just have a religious experience.

Catch them on Sunday, October 26!

Welcome back, Alt-JThis Is All Yours, the sophomore release from the UK trio drops on September 23 and just in time for Life is Beautiful!  Over the past couple of months the band has been quick to push out singles, “Hunger of the Pine,” “Left Hand Free” and “Every Other Freckle” and all it has done is make me even more excited for this release.  Plus the guys are finally going to play a real show in Vegas (they have played once, about 4 years ago opening for Grouplove, way before they were a household name).  Hope you can make it out to see these guys put on a heck of a show on Saturday, October 25.  Set time and stage information coming soon!

The Head and The Heart head back to Vegas only for the second time and I couldn’t be more excited to have this band on my lineup. Their first time was back in December 2010 opening for Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds and well before they had released their debut album. It should be quite the show and if you’ve been lucky enough to catch them on tour or at a festival this summer you know they are sounding ridiculously amazing right now.

Fun fact, “These Days Are Numbered” off the album Let’s Be Still was used in the 2014 Life is Beautiful lineup announcement video.

You can catch The Head and The Heart on Friday, October 24 at Life is Beautiful.

Ben & Jerry’s Launches Bob Marley Inspiried Ice Cream

It was bound to happen, Ben & Jerry’s has introduced the newest flavor to its arsenal of ice cream’s with “Satisfy My Bowl”

From the Ben & Jerry’s website:
We’re celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Bob Marley’s Legend album with this tasty tribute, supporting Bob’s vision for a fairer world. In partnership with the 1Love Foundation, this flavour will help to fund a youth empowerment programme in Jamaica. Music to your ears AND your taste buds! What makes this all the sweeter is that the inspired (ahem, LEGEND-ary) flavour name comes courtesy of Camilla Bishop – thanks Camilla, you’re a legend! Peace, 1love & Ice Cream, from Ben & Jerry’s.

Pussy Riot is Coming to Life is Beautiful 2014!

16 Sep

Pussy Riot received international attention after being imprisoned for two years in their home country of Russia, following a performance in 2012. After their release in December of last year, both Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alekhina have been on a mission to raise awareness for those who have been deprived of liberty in camps and prisons around the world. Joining the speaker lineup on Friday, October 24th the feminist punk art collective will discuss their experiences and efforts related to their incarceration, their music, feminism, LGBT rights, anti-authoritarianism and their foundation Zona Prova (Zone of Rights).
