Big week as in the middle of this amazing Festival Generation Week, we announced our dates for Life Is Beautiful, October 26-27 coming to Downtown Las Vegas. Book your flights, book your rooms and get set to purchase tickets (soon)!
Also if you are in Las Vegas I highly encourage you to take advantage of Festival Generation Week for the next couple days and listen, learn and speak with incredible individuals. Follow the hyperlink above for information and to RSVP.
It’s that time again, another month, another playlist from DoYouHearTheMusic.com! I promise that when I can share the lineup for Life Is Beautiful, we’re going to have a lot of fun with expanded playlists, b-sides and such! Until then, here are some artists you may know, some for you to now discover and 21 tracks (hey I’m from Vegas, blackjack baby!) for you to rock with while at work, home, in the car, or wherever you are cranking Spotify.
If you read the blog last week you’ve already seen who’s playing at Lollapalooza this August but if not, below is the lineup poster. Should be another solid three days/nights in the Windy City and I have to say, nice to see The Dunwells on here again as their set was washed out in 2012.

Earlier today the Lollapalooza lineup was leaked and the Chicago Tribune put together another post following their item last week regarding the headliners. Once again, another stacked lineup for the Chicago based festival. Sure the big acts are powerful and pack a punch but it’s the up and comers which fans are going to be stoked about. Now the question is, do I make a return for a third straight year…..
The Lineup:
Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Vampire Weekend, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, The National, Postal Service, Phoenix, Queens of the Stone Age, the Lumineers, Kendrick Lamar, New Order, Eric Church, Knife Party, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Ellie Goulding, Thievery Corporation, Grizzly Bear, Lana Del Rey, Flux Pavilion, Band of Horses, Major Lazer, Hot Chip, Azealia Banks, Local Natives, Two Door Cinema Club, Crystal Castles, Dada Life, Tegan & Sara, Imagine Dragons, Beach House, Cat Power, Frightened Rabbit, 2 Chainz, Matt & Kim, Alt-J, Foals, Death Grips, Dillon Francis, Court Yard Hounds, Smith Westerns, Disclosure, Adventure Club, Ben Howard, The Vaccines, Griz, Father John Misty, Ghost, Modestep, Charles Bradley, DIIV, Alex Clare, Heartless Bastards, Baauer, Baroness, Lianne La Havas, Emeli Sande, Wild Nothing, Jessie Ware, Atlas Genius, Haim, Angel Haze, Timeflies, Theophilus London, Monsta, Wavves, Io Echo, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Icona Pop, Alvin Risk, Chance the Rapper, Lance Herbstrong, Jake Bugg, Wild Belle, Art Department, MS MR, St. Lucia, Shovels & Rope, Guards, Kill the Noise, Robert Delong, Little Green Cars, Deap Vally, Family of the Year, 360, the Bright Light Social Hour, Twenty One Pilots, San Cisco, Hey Marseilles, Skaters, The Orwells, Palma Violets, Reignwolf, Astro, Pujol, Machines Are People Too, Planet Hemp, Yawn, Keys N Krates, the Neighbourhood, Cole Plante, Half Moon Run, The Mowgli’s, Pacific Air, Lukas Nelson & P.O.T.R., Wheeler Brothers, Wake Owl, American Authors, O’ Brother, the Dunwells, Houndmouth, Supreme Cuts, Brick + Mortar, Cherub, Makeshift Prodigy, Wild Cub, D-Pryde, Brooke Waggoner, Brite Lite Brite, Beast Patrol.
My jaw is still on the floor scouring this lineup and seeing the insane amount of talent performing at Glastonbury this June 28-30. I mean just read through this thing a bunch of times. Sure The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons, Arctic Monkeys, Dizzee Rascal, Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Elvis Costello, The Vaccines, Kenny Rogers, Ben Howard, Rita Ora, Rufus Wainwright, Jake Bugg, Haim, First Aid Kit all on the Pyramid Stage is enough to get most anyone to buy a ticket but just look at the Other Stage and the John Peel Stage.
This is what happens when artists I love get together and throw it down. Check out this video of Winston Marshall of Mumford & Sons joining Deap Vally (who’s opening for Mumford & Sons on the current European leg of the tour) to perform “Walk of Shame” in Florence.
TGIF, March Madness edition only because MUSE’s “Madness” is the official song for the NCAA coverage of the basketball pandemonium.
Did you see that Prince is going on tour? Dropped in the evening a couple nights ago, dates appeared and if you live in Las Vegas, get set for four show opportunities (early and late show each night) April 26-27 at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel.
The Chicago Tribune leaked out a handful of acts/headliners for Lollapalooza this summer which includes Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, The Postal Service and The National.
Neon Reverb is going on this weekend in Las Vegas! Make sure to check out the schedule and head to Beauty Bar and The Bunkhouse for some awesome music.
Shout out to American Eagle for using Wild Cub’s “Thunder Clatter” in their new video. Those fellas are about to blow up! Stoked for that to happen.
I love this. Click here to read the story on NPR but check out the video below of Vanderbilt student, Michael Pollack performing “New York State Of Mind” with his idol, Billy Joel. A chance Q&A opportunity made this happen and instantly became the greatest moment of Michael’s life.
Check it out, brand new official video from Allen Stone for “Celebrate Tonight.” If you’ve never seen Allen Stone live, you need to get on it like yesterday. If you haven’t watched Live From Daryl’s House , you need to do that (start with the episode with Allen Stone). Also be sure to check him out on tour this summer with O.A.R.!
