My New Music: Wild Cub – Youth

3 Oct

Two words: Wild Cub

Who? The dynamic duo of Keegan DeWitt and Jeremy Bullock

What?  A poppy sound you’re gonna love.  Filled with heavy synths and bright guitars; and two voices that complement each other flawlessly, you’ll be grooving from the start to Wild Cub.

Why you should listen? In August the duo dropped their debut LP, Youth.  Plus if you want a little flashback to the ‘80s blended with today, you’ll really dig this.

A reason you’ll be excited?  PASTE, SPIN, MTV, Filter Magazine, IFC, Consequence of Sound and more are all on the bandwagon of the Nashville duo and appearances at festivals like SXSW and Bonnaroo doesn’t suck either.

Why I’m excited: Listen to the songs “Thunder Clatter” and “Colour” and you’ll be hooked.

If you like: MNDR, White Arrows, Kopecky Family Band, Youth Lagoon.

Final thoughts: I’m kicking myself again for discovering another band post Bonnaroo.  Along with Jukebox The Ghost, these are the two bands I really wish I would have seen.  I’ve been listening to Youth since it dropped and have been absolutely hooked.

Kenny Rogers to perform at Bonnaroo and more artist additions!!!

25 Apr

That’s right, The Gambler was just added to the ever-growing lineup at Bonnaroo! (and a list that still says more to be announced)

Also added that I’m super excited about Hey Rosetta!, We Are Augustines, The Silent Comedy, Pujol, LP, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, Honey Island Swamp Bands, Cherub, Caitlin Rose.

And the full list of Cafe Artists:

Art vs. Science, By Lightning!, Caitlin Rose, Cat Martino, Chappo , Chuck Mead, Clare & The Reasons, Cherub, Cosmic Suckerpunch, Deep Dark Woods, Fly Golden Eagle, Glossary , Hey Rosetta!, Honey Island Swamp Band, Jukebox the Ghost, Katie Herzig, LP, Machines Are People Too, Matt Sucich , Marina Orchestra, Monstro, Paladino, Pujol, Robert Ellis, Rubblebucket, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Shahidah Omar, Tauk, The Main Squeeze, The Staves, The Silent Comedy, Trixie Whitley, Valiant Thorr, WE ARE AUGUSTINES, Wild Cub, Yuna
