Countdown to Life is Beautiful 2014: Priory

26 Sep

The home stretch towards the second Life is Beautiful festival in Downtown Las Vegas, October 24-26. In anticipation, at DoYouHearTheMusic.com I’ll be running down an artist or two on the lineup! If you haven’t gotten your tickets, do so at www.lifeisbeautiful.com and if you have, awesome and I can’t wait to see you!

Oh baby! We are exactly four days away from Life is Beautiful 2014!  And it’s Friday so what better than featuring Priory, one of the late additions to the Life is Beautiful 2014 lineup that have a song titled “Weekend.”  Clearly the perfect song for you to listen to today and it’s exciting that we were able to add the electro-pop outfit out of Portland and I can’t wait for them to take the stage and perform for you all.  Catch Priory on Friday, October 24.

TGIF: Priory – “Weekend”

Been listening to this Portland group for the last month and really digging them. Hope you do too and here’s a tune to lead you into the “weekend.” TGIF!

Countdown to Bonnaroo: 27 Days – Artist of the Day: Smith Westerns

13 May

Smith Westerns was a complete surprise to me as part of the line-up but I’m thrilled they will be performing.  Fresh off the heels of their second release, Dye It Blonde, the Chicago group has been gaining steam all throughout 2011.  As we wrote about back in back in January, with an upbeat retro rock and pop sound (think 60s and glam rock eras), they kill it with whinny guitar riffs and not complex lyrics.

Their set is scheduled for Sunday, June 12 at 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
