If you read my blog you know my affection for bands from Australia and The Temper Trap might as well lead the pack. Back in ’09/’10 it was all about “Fader” and “Sweet Disposition,” the latter skyrocketed the band as it got crazy club play being remixed by some top tier DJs and now the wait for new material is over as they will be fresh on the heels of dropping their sophomore effort when they perform at Bonnaroo. I can’t wait to finally see the indie-rockers live, been wondering if I’d ever get the chance.

Outside Lands 2012 Lineup Released
17 AprThis morning Outside Lands released their lineup for the festival taking place at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, August 10-12.
Not a bad lineup at all with Stevie Wonder, Metallica and NEIL YOUNG & CRAZY HORSE (how can you not be stoked about this?!). Plus Dispatch, Of Monsters and Men, Sigur Ros, The Kills, Bloc Party, Die Antwoord, Alabama Shakes, White Denim, Allen Stone, Electric Guest and Michael Kiwanuka; going to be a solid three days in SF.
Tickets go on sale Thursday at noon PST. If you are within a two hour plane ride of SF, no reason why you shouldn’t be booking tickets now, with all this great talent slated to perform in one of the best cities in the US.

16 AprGood morning……music fans! Music Monday and let’s get the week started off with a little Sleeper Agent. If you aren’t familiar with these kids from Kentucky, you need to be. They released their debut album, Celabrasion, last fall and are rising fast. They just played Coachella last weekend, are making an appearance at the Hangout Music Festival next month, and are on a little tour right now with Ben Kweller. So if you haven’t, give a listen to their peppy, rock sound and be on the lookout for this band in a city near you.

12 MarCheck it out, another handful of acts added to the Bonnaroo line-up today. I must say, most exited for The Temper Trap and they’ll have plenty of new material to play too with their sophomore effort being released just before the festival. Also if you’ve never seen fun. you are in for a treat; anyone who was a fan of The Format, this is a must see performance.
