“My Type,” yes you know the song, now see Saint Motel live at Life is Beautiful in just a few short weeks! After buzzing for a handful of years, the LA group seem to have found their niche and are definitely carrying the momentum forward and converting fans on a nightly basis. The song below, “Cold Cold Man” is really what you’re going to want to hear live and perhaps they’ll even bust out some Vegas showgirls on stage like they’ve been known to do.
Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 24 Days – Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros
31 Aug“Ahh Home. Let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is wherever I’m with you.”
Home is across 18 city blocks of Downtown Las Vegas, September 25-27 for Life is Beautiful. It’s no secret to my friends that I love Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. Their live show is uplifting, high energy and one gigantic singalong dance party. I can truthfully say that I’ve wanted to have ESATMZ on the lineup from day one and in year three we finally do! They are the perfect band for this festival as they exude a positive energy and will do everything they can to make sure everyone in attendance is grinning from ear to ear during their set. Come sing and dance on Friday, September 25 at Life is Beautiful because we’re going to have a party!
Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 25 Days – BØRNS
30 AugYou’re going to want to say you saw BØRNS at Life is Beautiful this year. Bursting on to the scene in 2015, Garrett Borns is an indie-pop star in the making. If you’re a fan of Passion Pit, Priory, Saint Motel and MisterWives, you’re going to love BØRNS. I got my first live glimpse at BØRNS at SXSW this year and have followed his performances since, boy are you in for a treat at Life is Beautiful! When we drop the schedule be sure to add him to your schedule and let him just take you on a dreamy set while you bask in the Vegas sunshine! 25 days; see you soon!!
Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 27 Days – X Ambassadors
28 Aug27 Days and counting! Bring on the heat, music, food, art , learning and of course the party!
If you listen to the radio or watch TV it’s a given you’ve heard “Renegades” the hit single by X Ambassadors. The song has been charting all summer long and paired with a massive add campaign by JEEP using “Renegades,” the Ithaca, New York alt rockers are surging in popularity. Back in 2014 “Jungle” spiked the band’s popularity and where you may know them from. Having gotten a chance to see them out on tour earlier this summer I can attest that their live show is one you won’t want to miss. Catch them at Life is Beautiful on Friday, September 25.
VIDEO: 1,000 Rockers perform Foo Fighters’ “Learn to Fly”
31 JulThis is simply awesome. 1000 musicians play “Learn to Fly” by the Foo Fighters in an attempt to get the band to travel to Cesena, Italy for a concert. And, it worked. Video is below and Dave Grohl’s reaction can be found HERE via Consequence of Sound.
‘Fare Thee Well’ Grateful Dead 50th Anniversary Shows Here We Come!
25 JunJune 19, 1995 that was the first and last time I would see the Grateful Dead. Bob Dylan opened, I was with my childhood best friend and his Father (who took us) and what an experience it was…..at 13! Thanks Mom and Dad for letting me go to the show!
Fast forward 20 years and one week later and after losing count of the amount of The Dead, Furthur, Rat Dog, Phil & Friends, Mickey Hart Band, Dark Star Orchestra, etc. shows I’ve been to, it’s just shy of 24 hours until I board a plane to San Francisco to catch the two Fare Thee Well shows at Levi’s Stadium. While it won’t be the Chicago experience, it will be an amazing experience that I can’t wait to be a part of and perhaps even better given that it’s a short distance from the origin of the Grateful Dead.

Behind the scenes I’ve been working with my good buddy, Mike Henry of The Bunkhouse to put together a summer concert series lineup for the Foxtail Pool at SLS Las Vegas. We’re talking a fireworks worthy show with MSTRKRFT, reggae on a hot Vegas night with Matisyahu, an old school hip-hop show with Sir Mix A Lot, Naughty by Nature, Shock G, Young MC and Tha Alkaholiks, Hoobastank with POD and Alien Ant Farm, Matt & Kim back in Vegas for their first time since destroying their set at Life is Beautiful last fall, the Las Vegas debut for Mystikal with Fiend and KLC, Plain White T’s and more to be announced! All these shows (except for one) are on a Saturday night, booze will be flowing, the pool will be available for open swim and we’re going to have a fun time partying to the lineup below. That’s the key, FUN, and these shows are all about it! Tickets go on sale Thursday, hope you can make it! Also the most killer deal of all, you can get a “season pass” which will grant you entry to each show throughout the summer. We’re going to be adding more shows so this is a killer deal.
