New Music: Ray LaMontagne – “Airwaves”

20 Mar

Ray LaMontagne has dropped a second track off his upcoming album, Supernova. This one titled “Airwaves” is much more calming and relaxing from “Supernova,” the first single that dropped last month.

Now Playing: Seinabo Sey – “Younger”

Happy Sunday. Here’s a tune I think you’ll want to start listening to and hitting play over and over. “Younger” by Seinabo Sey. I randomly stumbled upon this one and now can’t stop listening to this Scandinavian soul singer.

24 Feb

Music Monday it is! Give a listen here to “Supernova” the first single off Ray LaMontagne’s upcoming album, which bares the same name and is due out May 6. Notice a little bit more of an upbeat and refreshing sound? Credit that to Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys who produced the LP.

Now Playing: Night Terrors of 1927 – “Dust And Bones” Redeux

24 Feb

End of 2012 I remember listing to Night Terrors of 1927’s debut track, “Dust And Bones” on repeat continuously. Now that their identity is fully out there and with the band on the heels of heading down to SXSW, they’ve fine tuned and rereleased the track (thanks to Jacob The Destroyer for the tip) and video.

Play. Repeat. Play. Repeat. Give a listen to this new track from Big Gigantic featuring Cherub, “The Night Is Young.” Their new album which bares the same name drops February 11. If you’ve ever seen Big G live, you know how amazing these guys are live and I can’t wait to see them perform this track at Brooklyn Bowl here in Vegas and out at Coachella! And hopefully you caught them at Life is Beautiful in 2013!

Got turned onto Prides early last year by their hometown mates, Chvrches, and definitely looking forward to seeing them at SXSW in a couple months. On the heels of their EP being released in March, here’s the title track, “The Seeds You Sow.”

News: @glove & Special Sauce – New Single/Album and A Blast From The Past

21 Jan

I’m pretty sure this means more to me but I figured why not share it with everyone. G. Love has announced that on the heels of G. Love & Special Sauce’s 20th Anniversary and in addition to a new album, Sugar, which drops April 22, Jimi Jazz is returning to the group for the first time in eight years and will be on tour this spring! Pumped about this one and if you’re a G. Love fan, you know there is nothing quite like G. Love, the Houseman and Jimi Jazz all on stage together.

Also, give a listen to the first single off the upcoming album, “Nothing Quite Like Home.” Want more? Ben Harper contributes to the track!! Now gimme some Sugar!
