Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 15 Days – Future Islands

9 Sep

If you want to see pure passion on stage, go see Future Islands. If you want to be mesmerized, go see Future Islands. If you want to rage under the lights of Life is Beautiful, go see Future Islands. If you want to walk away from the festival with that “holy shit” moment, go see Future Islands. If you’ve seen Samuel Herrings dance moves on YouTube or TV, go see Future Islands. If David Letterman was at the festival, he’d be seeing Future Islands.

What I’m really trying to say is don’t miss Future Islands at Life is Beautiful.

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 16 Days – Kygo

8 Sep

The first time I ever saw Kygo live there were maybe 50 people there and he was opening for Dash Berlin (I’m still confused by this). Fast forward 18 months and Kygo has quickly become a festival favorite all across the globe. And just over two weeks from now he’ll take the stage in Downtown Las Vegas during Life is Beautiful for a BIG set. If you’ve never seen him live and worried that his chilled out, island-vibe house music will be a bit too mellow, don’t be. You’ll be dancing and singing along the entire time.

Plus you gotta be there to hear his new release “Here For You” ft. Ella Henderson. This is going to be a smash hit and Ella Henderson is a star in the making.

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 17 Days – Atmosphere

7 Sep

When we announced the 2015 lineup for Life is Beautiful it was amazing to me how many friends lost it over Atmosphere. I knew the excitement was going to be there but personally it was a great feeling to hear how geeked up everyone was. The Minnesota duo who have been around for years and there is no doubt that fans are going to be getting one heck of a show in a couple weeks.

Also in honor of Slug’s birthday today, here’s a mix by my friend DJ ZO. Give a listen and enjoy.

Listen up music fans. I better see each and every one of you who’s attending Life is Beautiful out at GRiZ on Saturday night of the festival. If you’re a fan of Big Gigantic, you are going to LOVE GRiZ! The one man DJ/Saxophone showstopper is going to bring the heat and have you dancing his entire set. Get ready for an electric, funk of a good time. Click play below and let this be your soundtrack for Labor Day Weekend.

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 21 Days – Halsey

3 Sep

If you’re looking to discover a new star in the making at Life is Beautiful 2015, look no further than HALSEY. I’m telling you right now, this girl will be a star. Heck she already is. She just dropped her debut album BADLANDS last week, put up a headlining tour that is selling out at a rapid pace and lucky for you, you’ll get to see her in DTLV in just three short weeks. This is your notice, now make sure you don’t miss her.

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 22 Days – Saint Motel

2 Sep

“My Type,” yes you know the song, now see Saint Motel live at Life is Beautiful in just a few short weeks! After buzzing for a handful of years, the LA group seem to have found their niche and are definitely carrying the momentum forward and converting fans on a nightly basis. The song below, “Cold Cold Man” is really what you’re going to want to hear live and perhaps they’ll even bust out some Vegas showgirls on stage like they’ve been known to do.

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 23 Days – twenty one pilots

1 Sep

Back at the inaugural Life is Beautiful we brought a little known band in for and early afternoon set. Fast forward two years and twenty one pilots have quickly ascended up the ranks and are becoming a force with millennial music fans. We’re pumped to be able to bring them back in much bigger spot and for a much bigger show. Expect a huge crowd when they take the stage so come early, stay late and you may just see Tyler Joseph climb the stage structure, crowd walk or even pass out!

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 24 Days – Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros

31 Aug

“Ahh Home. Let me come home
Home is wherever I’m with you.
Ahh Home. Let me go ho-oh-ome.
Home is wherever I’m with you.”

Home is across 18 city blocks of Downtown Las Vegas, September 25-27 for Life is Beautiful. It’s no secret to my friends that I love Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros. Their live show is uplifting, high energy and one gigantic singalong dance party. I can truthfully say that I’ve wanted to have ESATMZ on the lineup from day one and in year three we finally do! They are the perfect band for this festival as they exude a positive energy and will do everything they can to make sure everyone in attendance is grinning from ear to ear during their set. Come sing and dance on Friday, September 25 at Life is Beautiful because we’re going to have a party!

Countdown to Life is Beautiful: 25 Days – BØRNS

30 Aug

You’re going to want to say you saw BØRNS at Life is Beautiful this year. Bursting on to the scene in 2015, Garrett Borns is an indie-pop star in the making. If you’re a fan of Passion Pit, Priory, Saint Motel and MisterWives, you’re going to love BØRNS. I got my first live glimpse at BØRNS at SXSW this year and have followed his performances since, boy are you in for a treat at Life is Beautiful! When we drop the schedule be sure to add him to your schedule and let him just take you on a dreamy set while you bask in the Vegas sunshine! 25 days; see you soon!!
