DoYouHearTheMusic.com – October 2015 Playlist

9 Oct

Happy new music Friday! And with such, here is a new playlist for you to dive into. Hope you like this month’s collection of tracks which features new music from some household names like Ellie Goulding, SIA, !!!, JR JR (fka Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr), Rudimental and a brand new track from The 1975 as well newer acts like EL VY, firekid and Empress Of. A couple of the songs I’m most excited about on the playlist this month are “Born To Shine” by Big Grams (Big Boi and Phantogram – catch them at Treasure Island Music Festival next weekend!) and “Lose Control,” the collaboration of Glass Animals and Joey Bada$$.

Mumford & Sons Present: Gentlemen of the Road

29 May

I swear Mumford & Sons are geniuses.  Last time out it was the Railroad Revival Tour and this year it’s Gentlemen of the Road.  Straight from the fellas:

Join us this summer for a series of Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers at handpicked locations around the world. Each Stopover is a day-long event, celebrating the music, food and people of the places we’re visiting. We’ll be bringing a full lineup of some of our favorite bands from around the world, and curating events that combine a music festival and local gathering into one epic party. We plan to start early, and go late, taking the party from the stage to the town.

Please come join us if you can. It’ll be a whole lot of fun.

New Music: The Vaccines

9 Feb

Big shout out to my friend Paddy for the tip to check out The Vaccines.  The London rockers having just formed in 2010 are sitting on the bubble of stardom and their most recent track “Post Break Up Sex” is climbing the charts in the UK and only a matter of time before they stake claim in the US.  The quartet is slated to release their debut album What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? on March 21.
