So much good music out these days but I can’t stop listening to Anthony B and his new album Rasta Love. The disc features guest spots by Peter Tosh and Gyptian among others. Here’s one of my favorite tracks off the album “My Yes & My No.” I can’t wait to catch him at Bonnaroo in June!

For the first time in a while I popped in one of their discs as driving music and now I can’t stop listening to the Victoria, BC group. These guys have put out three great albums and if you haven’t heard of them, give a listen to a few of their songs HERE (“So I Say” and “Short Stories”).

Well if I can’t be in Austin for SXSW to see Kids of 88 in concert, this will have to do. If you haven’t heard the Kiwi duo of Jordan Arts and Sam McCarthy it would be wise for you to correct this. The new wave-electro duo from New Zealand are primed for breakout in the States.

I can’t believe I never saw the music video until last night for Martin Solveig & Dragonette – “Hello.” But then again when do you turn on the television these days and actually see music videos, especially on MTV. Check out the video which features Martin Solveig taking on Bob Sinclar in tennis!

Alright Vegas here we go again. Tonight over at what’s turned into my second home Book & Stage, Eli “Paperboy” Reed & The True Loves begin a four night stint as the house band. Brett Dennen is one of those artists who seems to be able to just pen a great song time and time again. Right now I really love his new tune “Sydney (I’ll Come Running)” which is set to appear on his new album Loverboy due out later this year. I’ve had the pleasure to hear him jam this a couple times while he was on tour with Dave Matthews Band last summer and this song has hit written all over it. It’s Music Monday and what better way to start the week off than listening to GIVERS’ “Up Up Up.” Hopefully this upbeat track from the pure fun Louisiana rockers will get you going on the right foot and have good vibes running through your veins.
If you’re in the Northwest catch them this week with Ra Ra Riot and for the rest of us, GIVERS will be once again playing SXSW this year.
