New Music: Empire of the Sun – “High and Low”
24 AugJust in time for Life is Beautiful 2016, Empire of the Sun have premiered a new track, “High and Low” off the forthcoming album, Two Vines, due out October 28. More words HERE from NME but the album is going to feature some music heavyweights including Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham, Wendy Melvoin (from Prince’s band The Revolution), and pianist Henry Hey and bassist Tim Lefebvre, both members of David Bowie’s ‘Blackstar’ band.

The Chicago band formed by Max Kakacek after his last band, Smith Westerns, broke up just released their debut album, Light Upon The Lake, on June 3 and it’s a gem. Hope you like it as much as I do. And if you see Whitney coming to a venue or festival near you, do yourself a favor and go see them live!

15 MaySXSW 2016 was the first time I heard this and was instantly hooked on it. Not only do I believe this will be The Avett Brother’s highest charting song but “Aint’ No Man” is just that damn good (and so is the new album) that you’re going to be hooked immediately. And that bass line!! Their new album, True Sadness, is out June 24.
