Countdown to Lollapalooza: 3 Days – Muse

2 Aug

Friday, Aug. 5 – Music Unlimited Stage, 8:15 p.m.

So Muse plays at the same time as Coldplay which should split the festival goers 50/50 if I was to guess but for me the decision is easy, Muse all the way. While it would be great to see Coldplay, I just can’t pass up the opportunity to see Muse let alone perform at a massive festival. I have also heard their live shows are intense. Guess we’ll find out in a few short days!

DoYouHearTheMusic.com Turns One Today

2 Aug

I seriously can’t believe it has been one whole year since I started this blog.  The past year has flown by and hopefully you’ve all enjoyed the music, concert recaps/reviews, news and more that I’ve been posting.  A ton of great new music has been discovered over the past year and I’d like to think some of these bands have some new fans because of your support of DoYouHearTheMusic.com and I thank you for clicking, reading and listening to what I have to share.

To celebrate our birthday at DoYouHearTheMusic.com we’ll take it back a little with Kool & The Gang.

New Music: Foster The People & GROUPLOVE Remix Swap

1 Aug

How can I not share this, two of my favorite bands are now remixing each others’ songs.  You’ve got Foster The People’s remix of GROUPLOVE’s “Colours” and GROUPLOVE remixing Foster The People’s “Pumped Up Kicks.”  Give a listen to both below and visit www.RCRDLBL.com for some great fresh remixes.

GROUPLOVE – “Colours” (Foster The People Remix)

Countdown to Lollapalooza: 4 Days – Ween

1 Aug

Saturday, Aug. 6 – Bud Light Stage, 6:00 p.m.

There are so many great bands to choose from and while ultimately scheduling is going to shatter my dreams of seeing every band I’ve marked on my line-up, Ween has to be one of the top priorities. They’ve been around a while and I still have not ever seen Ween live. Time to change this.
