Yes I know, we all can’t wait for Random Access Memories to drop next month. The anticipation is still here, it keeps building and if you really do love Daft Punk, you must watch this interview with Pharrell. If this doesn’t get you even more excited you may as well just go listen to something else.
Ever since seeing the final Pyramid Show, I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to bring me back to that moment. 2013 has been an amazing year so far for me and why not let it continue with some of my favorite musicians. Viva Daft Punk!
Check it out, brand new official video from Allen Stone for “Celebrate Tonight.” If you’ve never seen Allen Stone live, you need to get on it like yesterday. If you haven’t watched Live From Daryl’s House , you need to do that (start with the episode with Allen Stone). Also be sure to check him out on tour this summer with O.A.R.!
Check out the new music video for Mumford & Sons’ “Whispers In The Dark.” You may need to video it four times to get it all down .
Last night the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon episode (from February 22) featuring The Avett Brothers was re-aired and if you didn’t catch it either time on the tube, you must watch this killer performance. And if you’ve never seen them live I highly suggest you change that in 2013.
Ok, this is simply awesome and a must listen. Props to ESPN for gathering up eight musicians/bands to remix the long standing NBA theme song that goes along with the broadcast on the sports mothership. Click HERE to access the link and view remixes which includes The Mowgli’s, Ozomatli (always fun to hear them do sports remixes, search “Take Me Out To The Ballgame”) and The Heavy. You vote and the winner gets their version played during the NBA All Star Game this year.
Any music history buff will want to take the next two minutes to watch the official trailer for Muscle Shoals, a music documentary appearing at Sundance this weekend.
Anyone have thoughts on 12.12.12. The Concert for Sandy Relief? It truly was a magical evening of rock royalty and one that was viewed by two billion people! So many great and memorable performances including this one of Chris Martin and Michael Stipe.
